Whether you want to request payment from a friend or accept funds as a merchant, this guide walks you through the different ways to generate a QR code on the Pitaka app. Let’s dive in!

Option 1: Send via QR

Perfect for: Quickly transferring money to another Pitaka or QRPH user by scanning their code.

How to Use:

Step 1: Access the Feature: Tap on the ‘Receive’ action button from the main menu and select ‘Send via QR’

Step 2: Choose a Method:

• Generate QR Code: Your QR code appears, ready to be scanned by another user.
• Upload QR Code Image: You can also upload a QR image from your device to complete a transaction.

Step 3: Scan and Send: Once scanned, the app automatically processes the transaction — no need to manually input details.

This feature is ideal for seamless payments using either Pitaka QR or QRPH (for verified users).

Option 2: Express Receive

Perfect for: Instantly generating a QR code to receive payments into your Pitaka wallet.

Step 1 : Tap on ‘Receive’ and select ‘Express Receive’.

Your screen will show two types of QR codes:

• Pitaka QR Code: Used within the Pitaka ecosystem.
• QRPH Code: Compliant with the national QR standard. (Note: QRPH is only available to verified users.)

Both options allow for simple fund transfers without needing to share account numbers or usernames. Just share your QR code and let others scan to pay you instantly.
